HELP is a Social Enterprise, committed to enhancing the lifestyle, independence, and ambitions of people with disability. Since their inception in 1968 HELP has grown from a single workshop to a network of over 60 sites stretching right across South East Queensland and beyond. HELP is now one of the state’s leading providers of disability care and employment services. Their product and service range includes Supply Chain, Warehousing, Manufacturing (MailSafe, BinSafe, GarageSafe), Goodwill Brew coffee cart, Fison Food Factory Cafe, and Oxford Park Nursery.
We want to see more inclusive opportunities for people with disability across the board – more jobs, more accessibility, and more awareness. Our role as a disability focused social enterprise is to improve outcomes for people with disability, whether that be helping them to gain employment, improve their communication skills, or receive community support at home. Our mission is to support and empower people with disability so that they can live their best life, unrestricted and encouraged to achieve anything they set their mind to.
HELP generates significant social impact that stretches far beyond their four walls.
- Participants and supported employees: Participants and supported employees are empowered to build valuable skills for work and life, make important social connections, find meaningful employment, and increase their independence.
- HELP families: Families and carers can rest assured that their loved one is receiving the support they need to reach their goals and live their best life.
- Commercial partners and customers: Commercial partners and customers receive quality, timely and cost effective services and products whilst also providing meaningful opportunities for people with disability
- Broader community: The broader community is enriched by people with disability and the unique set of skills, talents and perspectives they bring to the table.
HELP takes a whole-of-life approach to ensure their clients receives custom support to suit their needs. This is made possible by their dedicated staff, who are trained under the Person Centred Active Support Model and committed to creating a safe and positive environment where participants can thrive and achieve their goals.
