Natura Pacific

Founded in 2005, Natura Pacific’s overarching business principles are a social enterprise that provides highly qualified services for ecological monitoring programs and also reintegrates local schools with nature through environmental outreach and education. Natura Consulting provides ecological services to a wide range of local, national and international bodies, and uses profits to fund Natura Education to provide nature-based learning opportunities to on average 35,000 young people and community groups each year.

Natura Pacific employs fourteen specialist ecology staff. We have been delivering accurate and efficient ecological consulting services since 2005. Our staff comprises experienced ecologists that specialise in both flora and fauna studies, whom are able to quickly mobilise and rapidly gain an understanding of new project requirements. Consulting services cover environmental assessment and monitoring as well as ecological rehabilitation planning and evaluation, always with the utmost expertise and integrity. To date we have worked on over 300 projects in 6 countries, providing sustainable outcomes for both clients and the environment, including safeguarding over 156,000 ha of land for conservation.

In conjunction with our ecological consulting services, we deliver multiple tailor-made, curriculum-aligned and award winning environmental education programs across diverse topics such as catchment monitoring, invertebrate ecology, coastal management and water quality. We have produced a range of high quality Waterways Field Guides which complement our education activities as well as a regional government co-funded “re-greening” app called GroNATIVE. As a social enterprise, our consultancy work is critical to ensuring the sustainability of our education programs, which are subsidised by this revenue.
